Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs) are a major component of the Small Business Administration's
§ 8(a) Business Development Program.
ANCs enjoy several unique
benefits which allow them to have multiple participants, to be exempt from the
competitive 8(a) thresholds, to obtain outsourced DoD contracts without
suffering through the A-76 process, and to attract subcontractors with the
Indian Incentive Program.
There are currently several
important initiatives being pursued by the Federal Government which have
significant implications for the ANC 8(a) community,
